Bart Reiter Banjos
Bart Reiter builds banjos in Haslett, Michigan in the tradition of the much sought after pre-war styles by Fairbanks – a company that later became known as Vega, and also produced banjos under the Bacon name for Fred Bacon. Bart’s attention to detail is second to none, and the quality of his builds is world-class, while still remaining affordable. His necks are responsive and balanced, and his classic inlay work is clean.
All of Bart’s banjos feature a three-ply maple rim and maple neck with an adjustable truss rod. The finish is hand rubbed lacquer. He employs a dowel stick construction, and traditional headstock shape. Five-Star planetary tuners, a geared fifth peg, Elite Fiberskyn head, and a bone nut round out the design.
All instruments feature a hard-shell case and one year warranty. All models are available as fretted or fretless. The frailing scoop comes standard on the Standard fretted and fretless models.
