Santa Cruz guitars are built in Santa Cruz, California by Luthier Richard Hoover. Richard builds modern acoustic guitars in a traditional style with attention to detail. His Orchestra Model (OM) and 12-fret D's and OO and OOO-slotheads are some of our favorite traditional guitars. All of Richard Hoover's tonewoods are carefully selected from the finest quarter sawn logs. Built very light, they have a traditional old Martin voice with the complexity of an instrument that has been played a while.
