David lannone of Vancouver B.C. started Morgan guitars in 1986 after beginning his luthier career understudying with Jean Larrivee in the early 80's. Visit the
Morgan guitar page for more information.
This instrument combines two fine traditional tonewoods - Indian rosewood and Sitka spruce. Sitka spruce is known for its fundamental clarity and rosewood provides a rich "bronze bell" tone to its voice. The end result is guitar with a powerful, dark, round, bluegrass bass; even balance and a powerful treble with volume up the neck for bluegrass leads. Also its a nice voice for a strumming guitar and for vocal accompaniment. This beautiful handmade instrument seems like a lot of fine guitar for the money.
