This new Walker Wise River is a further evolution of these wonderful guitars with subtle changes in the look, sound and feel of instruments that among the very finest sloped D's that anyone makes. The last couple of Wise River model Walkers that we have had in seemed to improve each time from an already world class Gibsonsesque instrument but one that has a unique John Walker sound. It is loud and clear with great balance and sustain which is what we expect from John Walker guitars but it also develops beautiful overtones throughout and has a bass with "character." Its versatility, dynamic range and a very high performance playing feel would be a couple of additional descriptors for this fine instrument.
Finally, John got the late 1930's Gibson burst down better than any instrument I've seen and it is a "looker" as well so it would make one heck of stage guitar in addition to all its other virtues. You just want to pick it up to have a work of art in your hands.
