We wanted to do something special for our 50th anniversary so here it is..behold The Podium 50th Anniversary OO. Built with special vintage bracing, Engelmann and Waverly tuners, The Podium 50th annversary OO is custom made for us in a batch of 15 instruments from the Martin custom shop.
The result is a spectacular fingerstyle guitar with a rich, resonant bass, great volume and sustain, and ringing complex overtones throughout its dynamic range. It is Martin and The Podiums best try at recreating the 1930's Martin OO sound. It is quite simply the best Martin fingerstyle guitar there is. Although it was designed as a fingerstyle guitar, flatpickers looking for a cool smaller guitar are digging it, too. The 50th anniversary custom shop D28 is for those dreadnaught lovers who are fans of the 1930's and 40's instruments.
