This lovely instrument was built with the measurements of literally everything in Dakota Dave Hull's original 1934 Gibson Jumbo, the first Gibson sloped D. The bracing scheme is precisely right down to hot hide glue contruction and three tone bars. It has a lovely original style sunburst applied over unsealed wood like the originals and beautiful shaded back and sides. Fairbanks added just one modern build feature and that is carbon fiber reinforcing bars in the neck which are small, light and stiff which just makes guitars louder.
Features:
- Mahogany back and sides
- Adirondack top
- Hot hide glue throughout
- Rosewood fingerboard and bridge
- Bone nut and through (long) saddle
- traditional early sunburst
- traditional shaded body
- Wavery nickel tuners
- Ivoroid binding
- 24.75" scale length
- 1 3/4" nut width
