Charlie Hoffman has been making guitars for 30+ years and was a mentor to James Olson early on. This Gibson Nick Lucas inspired instrument has that old time bass growl but it's still three dimensional and pretty loud. This Hoffman LOO is also articulate with a nice loose feel to the action. Charlie is known for great wood selection and the subtle blending of wood colors in his instruments and this one is certainly elegant and artful . As nice as it is to look at, it is a fine fingerstyle or flatpicking and strumming guitar with a sophisticated, but old world Gibson type voice.
