The VOM has Indian rosewood back and sides and a high grade Adirondack spruce top. This standard instrument is a world class traditionally voiced OM on par with any of the best OM's made. It has a very loud, powerful, focused, articulate and complex voice yet still produces a "thick", sweet, bass while ringing out loud and bell-like in the treble and up the neck. Bourgeois OM's all seem to have great note separation and clarity but with no edginess and like all Bourgeois OM's, they seem are beautifully balanced and fine fingerstyle instruments. Bourgeois OM's are very dynamic because they respond to the lightest of touch or the heaviest hand. This is a first rate "all-around" guitar, but one which has the precise feel of a guitar dialed in for fingerstyle. Workmanship is first rate in every way.
