This lovely custom instrument is SJ with big leaf maple back, sides and neck and a master grade Sitka spruce top. Maple and Sitka is an awsome combination and I've always thought that Sitka was best for most large body maple guitars. SJ's in general have first rate dynamic balance and great midrange but this one also has a fine strong bass end with great clarity and bell like tone up the neck.
