This superb instrument is a standard scale OM-1 with lightened Honduran mahogany back and sides and a master grade Engelmann spruce top voiced for fingerstyle. This guitar is the latest in a series of our great fingerstyle Collings guitars and it's as good as any of these great fingerstyle instruments that some of you may be familiar with.
The tone of this guitar is a little darker, with more overtones than something with a Sitka spruce top. This instrument also has a nice loose playing feel that makes you want to fly around the fretboard. I would have to say its one of the most versatile instruments I've played.
