The OO Collings is a 12 fret guitar that is based off a more traditional Martin design. The rosewood back and sides brings some of the warmth of a OO-28 and the German spruce top gives the guitar the sparkle and clarity that Adirondack has. This guitar has a clear fundamental tone and less of a scooped mid-range that you may hear in some other guitars of this size. The voice of this lovely instrument is rich and sweet with great sustain and harmonic complex and these characteristics and well as the balance midrange gives guitar great versatility. This instrument is also built lighter than a standard Collings OO-3 and the top is voiced for fingerstyle, part of an ongoing collaboration with Collings where we get to claim credit for how smart they are, so it has a darker, sweeter, more lush voice than most Collings of this type have.
