This is a J-185 type instrument we have all wished Gibson would make. At first blush and as "green" instrument, it excels as plectrum guitar and if you dig in as fingerstyle player you would also love it. This is the sixth Walker we have had and its another instrument with imprecable Collings-like workmanship and the sound of a vintage Gibson.
When you let it ring out it the trebles pulse like vibrato. The bass is big and dark with complexity and color yet focus and clarity. The midrange bridges the bass and treble notes with dynamic and tonal balance. The fret work is superb and laser straight. Bottom line is that I wouldn't change a thing and if I could make world class "Gibson-like" guitars, this is what I'd make.
