Everybody has their favorite Santa Cruz and the Vintage Artist has always been mine. Built as light as a feather, but still taut and strong this instrument has big, woody bass and it' s brilliant up the neck. Seems like mahogany guitars usually need to played a few minutes every time you play them before they open up and get their voice and that's the way this one is. Seems a little crisp in the trebles at first but after 15 minutes, they gain complexity, volume and added sustain and the instrument comes into balance. This one has what it takes now but like all Santa Cruz guitars, they change a lot as they break in...I can't wait.
