This is an instrument especially made for The Podium using hide glue and some awesome mahogany you are not likely to see again any time soon. This is big time flatpicking machine and there is a reason Ricky likes this guitar even though his isn't even made with hide glue. This one is loud and balanced and has great volume up the neck for bluegrass leads. It has a warm, woody, focused bass which cuts through other instruments very well but without any hint of edginess. In addition, it has a silky, high performance feel. Bourgeois guitars, in our estimation, are better than they have ever been; and we have seen nothing but stellar instruments for a couple of years now.
