The IP-2 is for musicians who wish to combine Highlander's popular pickup and preamp with a microphone or a sound hole pickup.
The IP-2 features a unique 1/4" stereo output jack. The Highlander pickup is connected to the tip while the microphone or sound hole pickup is connected to the ring. Both signals are available for use individually, or they can be combined using a mixer or blending preamplifier.
Running the microphone from the 9-volt battery eliminates the need for phantom power enabling the musician to choose from a wider range of amplification equipment.
The "Access Jack" is a 3.5mm stereo mini socket for plugging in a microphone or magnetic pickup. Highlander can provide a variety of condenser microphones that are wired with a Microphone Adapter. Just plug in and play, no soldering required.
