This lovely instrument is one of the best Santa Cruz guitars I've had in my hands for a while (and I play one myself). The balance of the OM favors the bass to midrange, inviting comparison to a small dreadnaught. The OM has become a favorite of fingerstylists and players preferring the comfort of a smaller body that delivers considerable power.
This custom order guitar has all the great qualities of a standard Santa Cruz OM, but has upgraded gorgeous beeswing mahogany and premium German spruce top. This combination is my favorite and our luthier, Marty can't even look at it without tearing up. This combination gives the guitar more headroom and punch and sounds very similar to Adirondack spruce.
This is a work of the luthiers art in every sense and I would take it home in a heartbeat if it wasn't for trying to preserve my marriage.
