For all bluesmen that are alergic to cigarette smoke, don't like bars, and aren't into bar fights, you can still have your road worn blues ax with the Style 1 Replicon. The National Style 1 Tricone is the king of the brass body resophonics. As with all Nationals, they are very, very loud. They are less edgy than the single cones and are the most flexible "all around" instruments National makes. Don't just think bottleneck (although they do bottleneck extremely well) as many players use them for flatpicking and fingerstyle in standard tuning. We upgraded the tuners to Sloan Waverly tuners which we still think are the best traditional tuners available. Having extensively played an original, 1930's Tricone, my opinion is that the new ones are better and by more than a little bit. These instruments can be set up low and still work beautfully with a bottleneck because of their long scale length.
Features:
- Nickel plated brass body
- Mahogany neck
- Waverly Sloan tuners
- Ebony fingerboard
