I just picked up this fine instrument to write about it here and almost scared myself its so loud. This is basically an OM-1 but built a little lighter, with a standard scale length and a top voiced for more complexity with a pyramid bridge. This one sings up the neck and has nice playing feel to it. The standard scale length combined with a lighter build really turned out fantastic. Its has nice loose feel and its easy to fly around on it. But as wonderful a fingerstyle guitar as it is, the flatpickers are going to swoon. Singer-songwriters are going love its woody, sweet voice for strumming, too. It has a big, articulate woody bass and thick midrange as well. Simple but elegant looking, Collings workmanship is without peer as usual. Bottom line is that it is another masterpiece from Collings guaranteed to make your heart beat a little faster.
