Well we were blown away by the D-18 Authentic and Kevin, our store manager and the musician who does or MP3 recordings just bought a D18 Authentic because he just couldn't stand it any longer. That said the OOO18 Authentic is the fingerstyle blues equivalent guitar and yet is just as versatile as the D18 Authentic and it also is a canon! These are loud and rich fill me with admiration for what Martin can do when it set's its collective mind on something. They have done nothing less than recreate the sound of a a pre-war Martin.
Virtually hand-built, Authentic instruments go beyond "The Golden Era" in faithfully replicating Martin pre-war specifications, materials and construction methods. This includes such "authentic" features as use of hide glue, T-shaped neck reinforcement bar, Adirondack red spruce tops and bracing, original shape and color pickguards, and more.
